Dear bros and sis, how much you have bidded your special car no.? Do you mind to tell us?

Re: How much you bidded for your special car no.

My family was quite fortunate for one of our previous car numbers.
It was an E-series plate with the number 6677. Didn't even need to bid, came with the car and a little help from the salesperson.

I did try to bid 2525 for my previous ride in 2001 at $1,600 but didn't get it. My in-laws bid $1,500 for 8838 twice and got it on both occasions.

All in all, it very much depends on the 'demand' for the number at the particular series. The single and double digits are usually the hottest (these usually require above 10K to secure sometimes), as are the more auspicious chinese numbers with the 8s, 1s and 2s.

Best to check at LTA on the plate availability. Think they release new registration numbers every month.

Agreed, it really depends on your luck. One of my friend got the no. 10 for just 5k but the other one bidded same no. for 10k didn't get it.
