Actually his handwork is not too different from most drivers who are fairly new to performance driving. His main mistake is not that stupid and again would be common in new performance drivers - not reading elevation changes and adjusting to it. Many experienced drivers who have covered hundreds of laps at a single track don't know how to look for and use elevation change.
