Go PPSL ask them how open fob - very easy slide action. Just that mine is E60 so i not sure abt yours.

Then go bookshop and buy a $3 battery.

Thev last time I went PML, they told me need to leave fob there one day to do dianostic test first, in case got motherboard error. $80 process, exclu GST.

The mother of all craps.

Pulled out the key but can't find an avenue to open up the fob and change the battery

E60 same like e90? If yes, I might have an extra key fob. Totally new. You could experiment with it and dig out the battery. Let me go search for it..

Just bring back to parts counter at any PML to change the battery. You talking about the key right?
