How to convert our stock halogen headlamp to AE?

Hi all,

How can we get AE headlamp? It is a replacement of the entire projector housing? Or just some LED or HID replacement within the housing.

I am confused over this AE conversion. I had read through the online selling portal still couldn't figure out. I seek forgiveness for my ignorant, could some kind seniors here advise?

Without better understanding of the our headlamp system and function, i couldn't decide over what to buy from the above online store. And if we achieve the AE look, what exactly kinda light should we use? I have seen LED, HID and etc.. (Currently driving 07 pre-facelift 323I)

Other than original HID lamp, all angel eyes are illegal. Most of the after market angel eyes are from CCFL. IMHO, it is ugly especially on E90. If u really 1 angel eye, change both lamp to HID. It is expensive but worth the effort.

U can look for SWC Mike to 'FL' yr PFL E90 to the current lci Bi xenon + AE headlamps. Cost ard 3k+ region.

Looks: 9/10
Practical: 8/10
Overall feel: 8.5/10
