How to dry interior carpet

Oh, this may be a laughing stock.

Only notice the driver side window was not fully up after spraying water on my car. Part of the carpet was wet (especially the side). Fortunately, the floor carpet was cover the 3m floor mat.

What is the best way to dry it and any special precaution? Suspect some water may have gone into the headlight control or speaker or aircon outlet.

Thanks

Aircon is a good idea to dry interior part, trust me.

Audio, just take the carpet out and sun la. rely on ur 3M one for the time being.

try to see if those switches suspected of water entering is working fine. if not just bring claim warranty. they wun know a thing. hehe

Hi Slater,

The floor carpet that sticked to the floor is wet and not the removable carpet. Any good advice? Thanks in advance

remove the carpets and let it air dry. try turning the airconditioning into that mode where it blows ur footwell. that shld speed up the process.

This is what i do during rainy season (and in general if water gets into my car)..

I use about 2 packets of thirsty hippo and leave it inside the car all the day. End of the week, most of the moisture gets soaked up into the canister.

The one thing you might be worried about is growth of fungus or a smell, so far i've not gotten a problem.
