Any ideas? However, do let me know whether these involve noise, as I am quite fussy about the noise in the interior.

Thanks!!

I think my e34 is quite quiet, friends who ride in my car often comment on its refinement.

Yo dude, with regards to fuel economy, I'd reckon that the easiest way is to downsize your rims.
17" with wider tyres will definitely drink more petrol. The best economy would be on stock 15-inch rims.

Try removing your spare wheel... Helped quite a bit in saving fuel and eventually $$$$... Added ~30km more to my usual 450km on full tank..

chnage ur headers..but the noise will kill u.

Re: How to improve economy on my E34

stock headers r heavy and have a lot of back pressure, trapping heat....lightweight heat dissipating sports headers will be better to rid heat. thus...ur engine wun work too hard.

Test driving the latest E200K NGT (bi fuel) has made me research a little more on converting my car to run on LPG, a popular mod in UK and Australia. C&C quotes 300km cost $15 Gas. All E200K are Bi fuel now, and there will be 8 refueling stations by year end. BTW the benz drove terrific. no way to tell between switching fuel source on the move.
