Hi all,
I was just working some bits of the site and planning to fix a couple of issues when i did a check on our site stats...and my, how we've grown.
We've breached over 100k visits per month a few months back, and today, an average of 3,500 to 4,000 visitors read and participate in BMW.SG on a daily basis.
For a "local" premium automotive forum, that's not too bad a number, in fact it's quite surprising. BMW.SG also has visitors from 178 countries/territories worldwide.. what?
From just 70+ or so odd members since 2001, till 16,862 members as of to date (inclusive of about 150 or so p0rn0 spammers heh).... we've certainly come some way.
No special occasion here, and I think it was sometime around now that we've celebrate our 8th birthday of BMW.SG (yeap sometime around sep/oct in 2001), but just wanted to write this note to thank you guys (esp to those who even remember the delphiforum days) for your continuous support, contributions, help, ...hell even the fights and corny jokes internally. It's really appreciated.
Just a quick shout out to a couple of core folks, firstly to the admin team who've been quietly running this forum humbly in the backend and resolving disagreements, OTs, spam and keeping the community intact and sane...regular contributors, posters, breyton, shaun, acboy, TripleM (our much appreciated trackie organiser), ///M3, phil, kenntona, omar, iscoupe, totoseow, terry, jaskin, acupunch, pilotsnoopy, slater, C3P0 and the many more regular posters who have contributed in some way or another (yes, spreading the mod virus is too, considered helping. lol.).
In addition, we would like to say a huge thank you to our site sponsors who have supported this site in providing for our expenses (hosting, software and script upgrades etc) and for benefits for our members in bringing quality services and products.
It's been a pretty wild 8 years, and here's to the members joined as noobs today, those whom already changed cars, and even some of whom who've left us forever...we thank you for being part of BMW.SG. We will always consider you as a part of our family and we will continue to welcome everyone who has a bimmer in their hearts, big or small. (regardless whether they own one or not)
We look forward to many more years of serving you, the community and here's to a great week ahead.
Cheers
Ryan
