prodrive for the weight! weight is everything,.
weight is everything?:nehnehhh:
you meant you never considered Dollars?
Prodrive is a after market Subaru tuner, they started marketing Prodrive rim(THEY ask Ray engineering /Enkei to make for them) for Subaru initially now had widen the range to Euro car too. (Enkei and Ray Eng is a very established rim maker from Japan).
As for HRE i think is a US company sell custom make wheel for all cars.
But i heard their forged rim is a little diff from usual Forging rim from other maker from Jap and Europe.
HRE machine and shape the wheel from a Forged metal block. that is why they can customised the wheel specification.
Usual Forging process required costlier process to produce the forged wheel.
Correct me if i am wrong :|

+1

advan rs = flow forming
wedsport = advanced metal forming

both process is a combination for casting and forging which is cheaper and in most cases lighter than forged wheel

in term of strength, forged wheel is better la

When it comes to strength, can we actually feel it on daily driving? Or only on tracking?

U can't feel it lah.....unless the rims are made of plastic or rubber.....

U can only feel the diff when you compare heavier rims to lighter rims....

ProD, HRE, ProD, HRE, ProD, HRE.....................................................................................

Bro, decide the one that suit your eyes, you not putting on for us, its for you yourself.

*OT - bro, i dont think your car ready for collection tomorrow.

Re: HRE P47 versus Prodrive GC-05K

did u manage to get the weight of the prodrives ?

Re: HRE P47 versus Prodrive GC-05K

you can only know the strength of the wheel when impact (is costly to know this answer)
anOTHER issue OF qualities like surface finishing (visual) , also any corrosions after used on the road ,some you can find worms like corrosion after sometime.
also heard about air leak problem of 2 or 3 pcs wheel and steering vibrate only during wet day because of water trapped on the inner wheel .:yikess:
So quality is not just the manufacturing method/ material/weight(most people concerned)
to me most important is 1 word ( SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY)

The weight of my GC014i (19") is 9.4kg. Using a digital meter :)

Yes, GC14i the best light and fast

Re: HRE P47 versus Prodrive GC-05K

I'm using GC-05K as another set now.

Was running OZ ultraleggeras on my Z4.

Costs, immediate availability and good looks were quite a no brainer. Quite happy with the current setup. Weight-wise, i can't really even feel the difference using my stock rims setup. The big difference only came when i switched to a larger rim profile. If you start to go to 20" from 18", you'd definitely feel it (weight).

Sorry for shitty image below :p

Yes
Front 9.7 20x8.5
Rear 10.6 20x10
That's very light for 20"s.......
