Now you take away the cats, and these things measure anyway. Should they now detect that there is no more cat and put the engine into limp-home mode?

It's mandatory to put the engine light on actually, it doesn't just write into the OBD2 log.
Now Shaaz, tell me then how come. Because, there are sensors before and after the Cats, and these measure adherence to emissions legislation. (it's the law).shaaz;188216 said:Nope.
