In-Car Camera

Hi all!

Anyone has installed any In-Car camera brands that you can recommend? Thinking of installing a front camera. Nowadays with all the weird drivers better to play it safe. Which is a good workshop I can go to install the camera with concealed wiring should I buy the camera online myself and normally how much does it cost just for the installation?

Just bought and installed DIY this Finevu Pro HD in-car camera from qoo10. Not fanciful or nice in outlook compared to those Blackvue ones but value for money with Sony lens. $xxx(dont want to post prices here) delivered via Fedex within 2 days. Comes with English firmware as well. Easy installation as all wires and clips are provided in the box. Pretty good quality and colour dynamic range is better than blackvue 500HD in my opinion.

The provided wire length is more than enough for you to loop your windscreen back to the cigarette lighter socket.(unless your cigarette lighter socket is at the back seat area)

I find my e90 lighter socket kinda hard to fit in anything with a height more than 3cm, arm rest just couldn't close it.

Best to hook up to power at fuse box. Better than having ugly exposed wires hanging around. Check with your favorite garage, they should know how to install. BTW, very happy with Blackvue so far

Agree fuse box hookup looks much better ....... And get a voltage monitor to prevent a flat battery.

If u want DIY, check out ebay for DVR, prices are much cheaper but quality depends on luck, BUt hey, we are talking about 1/3 of the prices sold by local shops or retailers here

Local sets comes with warranty, that's why you pay more

so if it is 1 year warranty, as long as ebay set last 4 months, u r even.

In fact my ebay set last already 2.5 years

cost me so little that i can't even rem...$30 maybe....
