Hot from the Oven! Just heard from sources within, seems reliable but am unable to confirm at this point of time......
Scenario
Recently LTA realised a lot of vehicle owners have installed the 'vehicle black box' or in-vehicle video camera.
Brain Storming
They are considering e following (from direct source)...
a) to introduce some form of Tax.
b) to introduce only specific brands/models to be approved as in-vehicle video cam.
c) to introduce illegal and legal in-vehicle unit i.e. all in-vehicle video cams will require LTA's approval being installation.
My Synopsis
As more people are installing in-vehicle video cams, LTA seem to see this as another avenue of generating extra money so they are brainstorming on this!
My current feeling
KNNBCCB, don't they have better things to brain storm on? Must be some scholar* writing a new project paper to upz his/her profile
I am just waiting for some announcement and see what kind of unhappiness LTA will stir.
* Pardon my stereotyping as till date, has not exactly proven me wrong.
