Incar iPad Holder Recommendation

Hi guys, wondering if you have any incar iPad holder to recommend?

Is for my toddler girl else my wife is poorly holding on to the iPad for her to view keeping her occupied.

Considering the fact that our headrest can't be removed, that limits the choice available.

I saw 1 from PML and it cost more than $350. Shiok shiok pricing.

Headrest rear is too high for young children.

Rear of seat is too near for safe viewing distance (protecting children's eyesight is a very important role that many people missed).

The only safe-distanced location is the centre console box just behind handbrake (assuming your car got handbrake lar, otherwise you know the location I am referring to).

At that location, you can easily find a cheap (I mean less than $50) iPAD holder at Funan Mall or Sim Lim Square and place it on a non-slip mat on the centre console handrest. Then secure it with two neat string/ rope/ velcro to the many accessible fittings underneath the front seats.

Note: This is ignoring basic safety rules where such devices are considered as additional hazards in the event of an accident (e.g broken glass from iPAD etc).

You can also easily plug in audio from this loaction, via a $5 3.5 to 3.5 Aux cable.

My girl is sitting on the car seat so the height should be pretty fine. Just wondering if there are anything similar to the iPad holder as the original BMW holder?

Gmarket do sell a few holders ranging from $17-$39. Im using one for about 3 months. So far so good. I just adjust the seat all the way to the front so viewing distance is about right...

WAH nice one bro. I'm interested too! Been hunting high n low for a classy solid one to setup for my 3yr old in the car, this one fits what I want cos it looks sturdy n nice with the steel parts. But only thing is they don't do shipping now. Only pick up from stores.

get holder with soft, padded or non sharp edges

in taiwan there were seveal cases reported that ipad holder fail safety standard and it is a hazard

Check out ebay and I found 3 guys selling. The cheapest I found is about $60 inclusive of shipping. Else you could get vPost and collect it then.

This one looks like the holder requires the headrest to be remove (slot-type), I'm not sure about this but you mention out headrest cannot remove, then how to install?

From the look of it, the 2 claws face outwards and there is a lock hold to slide the position. Therefore technically, it should be able to fit without removing the headrest. Looking through the GMarket, they are all selling the same item at different price. And also somebody asked another seller and is confirmed that it could fit our cars.

Anyway stay tuned when I received it and I will provide a report on it.

Ok, time for a report on the holder bought from GMarket as received it this morning. Delivery is pretty fast & standard packaging. Photos tells a thousand word. Sorry, not too sure why the photos is published in this manner.

Would say that design is simple, so is installation. The only thing to test now is the reliability.
