Insurance - AXA etc

Dear All,

My car is involved in an accident today, and I arranged for the same to be brought to PML for accident reporting. The folks at PML said that they can do the repairs and claim from AXA, but I called AXA and they said PML is only for reporting, not an authorised workshop.

Question: Any one claimed from AXA recently for repairs done by PML?

Question 2: If not, any good AXA authorised workshop to recommend? I read from the forums ComfortDelgro seems ok.

Question 3: Will repairs by the AXA external authorised workshop void the PML warranty?

Grateful for the views of the bros here - sigh, bad day. :sleepy:

Many thanks in advance!

Re: Insurance - AXA etc

It depends if you are at fault or the other party is at fault. Are you claiming against your own AXA insurance? If so, check your insurance agreement. You may have taken up a condition, in exchange for a further insurance discount, that requires you to have to go to AXA approved workshops for repairs if you claim your insurance. Regardless, it is weird that if you can't get the car repaired by the AD. Do verify with AXA or get both the ws and insurer to talk to each other.

Its a rear collision, so presumably my fault. The incident highly suspicious though - workshop reps appear out of nowhere immediately offering "help". Yes, my coverage is only limited to AXA authorised workshops, but the AXA helpline and PML giving me conflicting stories.PML insisted they are on the panel. AXA - well 50% of my calls they said yes after checking with their superiors; other 50% of the time they insisted no as its not on the website list:

Motor :: AXA

PS: Thanks for your input btw. =)

Bro,so long ur report state tat u appoint pml to proceed wif repair then shouldnt b a issue.

Re: Insurance - AXA etc

Best to check your insurance agreement .. if you bought your car new from PML together with the insurance and had stayed on, chances are that the repairs can be done at PML.

Re: Insurance - AXA etc

If car less than 3 years old can. Older car cannot.

If older car .... Ask authorised WS to outsource to AD.
