Insurance claims

Hi, just like to know from you guys if you get into accidents (touch wood), assuming you're not liable and claiming 100% from the other party's insurance. .which reliable workshops do you go to which help with such claims?
I've found out from most of the site sponsored workshops here that they do not handle claims & some will pass on to outsourced workshops to handle the claims & repair. This may not be an issue if you just wanna claim for changing external kits/bumpers etc. & respray. I guess there's always places like SWC or yew lip for stuff like that. But what if you're looking for a reputable place for full diagnostics, undercarriage, shocks etc. check-up, repair and helps with processing of claims. Any recommendations on such? :)

Cheers

Re: Insurance claims

Thanks tee168. I guess only them then. However, my friend has told me they wouldn't handle claims for him. So he had to pay first and then settle the claims with the other party's insurance on his own.
Does sound like a hassle this way then.

Re: Insurance claims

That's true, PML doesn't administer claims for you. That's your own taichee, they said.

That was some years ago when I went to Mova Automotive in Bt Merah, as PML didn't want to handle my claims for me. When I went to Mova, I saw that there were a number of BMW's as well which impressed me that they must know about BMW's. They even handled the loss of use.

When I went to Mova it was for body work only; so I've no idea if they were any good for other mechanical and electronic rectifications.

Re: Insurance claims

hi gridlock, my experience differs from yours...last year, I got into a car accident and was over at PML for repairs. PML offered to do a direct third party claim and d only payment I made was for car rental. And after various months, my rental expenses was refunded..2 cents

Re: Insurance claims

Tee, I guess they've improved on service standards since my friend's experience then. Good to know, easier going back to PML if so. Thanks for the update :)

Re: Insurance claims

They would do the claims... on either of the 2 conditions:-

1) It is a clear fault of the other party... for example a rear collision, or

2) If you are claiming your own insurance

claiming your own insurance doesn't mean you are at fault. It simply means that your insurance will have to do a counter claim against the other party. the process is seamless to you anyway. Unless the accident is 50/50, which may result to a partial claim or a claim failure, and thus you may lose your NCB if you don't have protector.

Sorry what do you mean by protector ?
I just got an accident and PML suggest that I claim my own insurance and later get my insurance to do the counter claim. Hence I would like to know what do you mean by a protector .

I just got a car accident and PML does not do direct third party claim with NTUC . Reason quoted was NTUC compensate very Low for third party claims . So I have to claim my insurance first and later get my insurance to do the counter claims . Anyone have such experience before ? Will my ncb be affected ? Pls advise .

Either claim OD or clear case claim other party...50/50 I doubt they want to entertain and fight.

Anyway, Guys. sharing insurance lobang. Highly recommended insurance broker Terence9362 3352. I think already many BMW bros bought from him. Very good price and easy going guy...Just watsapp him direct at 9362 3352. Premium is very good but he is slow so if urgent u need to let him know..and pls throw away PML renewal letter haha

With regards to ur earlier queries about protector, it means if you have buy "protection" for the NCD.

Not just PML, all Authorised Agent are the same, they won't entertain or assist you with the insurance claim. Its always claim your own insurance first then settle later. Good luck to you if you lost the case and its your fault for the accident. My recommendation is not to repair at PML but outside workshop. I do know of third party workshop that able to do the full works from insurance claim, repair, rental car .. all the way down to full diagnostics. You literally no need to do anything, the workshop will act on your behalf to deal with both side (yours and the other accident party) of the insurance company.
Of course I won't post the workshop here to prevent any misunderstanding that I'm associated to it. PM me if you want to try out this workshop.
