Insurance for 335

Ok guys, need to get a sense of what are the premiums out there. To 335 owners, care to share your premium?

Pls provide the following info:

(i) Name of insurance company
(ii) Preimium before NCD
(iii) Excess
(iv) Whether can repair at PML

Btw, avoid NTUC.
I was quoted 5k+!
AXA is also higher at about 3.2k.
India Insurance as about the same as MSIG, so of course I opted for inhouse.

Looks like both Keen and Azriel both go for the in-house insurance. My only beef is with the excess of $1,500 which is too high. Also, I am not sure if Keen's quote before NCD is still current as I was quoted $3,500 (juz like Sam) before NCD although I am already 40 and has 50% NCD.

AXA quoted me $1,720 including sun-roof protection and excess only $600. So currently I am shortlisting AXA.

$1720 w excess $600 is dirt cheap considering it as a turbo car.

it shd not be that a 40- and a 30-yr old is quoted the same premium, unless you have tainted records...MSIG must have made a mistake

bro, are u 101% sure. I mean best to re confirmed with AXA. A few I asked were all quoting $1500 excess. Asia Ins at first gave me $800 excess also. They thought it was just a 3.5L V6:screwedu: . When they found out it was turbo charged, they up the excess to $1500.

$1.3k and excess $1000. Works out to the same as $1.7k and excess $600 except that if I dun make a claim, I save $400 a yr.

My car is not here yet, so hope no change in premium in 3 to 4 wks' time when it is time for me to insure.

I believe that if you read the fine print, the excess is meant for people OTHER than the named drivers in the policy.

A policy quote I got for the R8 (S$497K, 2 seater, sports car - so this is more jialat than a 4 seater Maser) as an estimate to the cost of ownership, is S$3K excess for named drivers with S$15K excess for others.
