I just renewed my insurance comprehensive @50% NCD Comprehensive for $707 nett for my 2008 BMW 7 Series.

Anyone able to get cheaper?

It is insured with Royal Sun Alliance.

When I approached other agents to see if they can undercut, it seems not.

The wholesaler I bought from seems to have an exclusive arrangement with RSA for this particular spec policy.

Other agents told me that this wholesaler must commit a certain volume in order to get the special exclusive arrangement and price. I called RSA directly and they said the same thing and couldn't offer lower. Thus, I ask if anyone managed to get cheaper on their insurance renewals

mine with axa. 3rd party only. $1500 without NCD. going to scrap another car in april and bring the 50% NCD over. then will be similar to yours, about $750/year but on 3rd party only. yours comprehensive very good price.

This policy was sold to me by an insurance wholesaler. If keen, please PM me with your email. I will forward you the details with my carplate number so that you can tell the seller/wholesaler, you want the same policy. Most agents will naturally try to up sell unless you state specifically what you want.

I have contacted RSA recently as my car (E63) insurance is due soon. I submitted for an online quote and to my surprise the response from RSA was they wish to abstain from this make & model.

I got a registered letter 2 weeks ago saying that RSA has been rename due to an acquisition. Maybe thats the reason. If you like, i can give you the contact of this wholesaler. Maybe can ask them, no harm trying and comparing prices.

It is likely RSA no longer underwrites motor insurance.
