Phone definitely feels snappier in all aspects.
Have not tried the HDR yet but its definitely a welcome upgrade.

On iPhone 4. But the 4.1 was predominantly released to address the slow speed on the 3GS when upgraded to OS 4.0

Do take note the carrier settings has been updated to 8.0 which IMHO seems to be alot better in terms of network handling. It is much more consistent keeping the calls alive than dropping in areas of weak signals. Today I successfully managed to talk in the lift in my office though abit unclear without being cut off. Before this, almost always it will drop the calls. I will monitor this and update accordingly but so far this upgrade seems to be most welcome.

Been using the phone for the past few hours and it is much much better. On 4.0.2 it even hangs when you slide the unlock. I'm on the 3G (not 3GS).
Also agree on the carrier/baseband update. It does seem better and I get more consistent 3G signals.
