Is F30 an easy target in Malaysia?

Would like to know if the F30 is easy to be stolen across the causeway?

Are the security of new cars more advanced nowadays and with the SOS feature (BMW will be easy to track the car via internal GPS)?

Cheers and drive safe!

Where are you heading?
I have driven my F10 to KL many times. Though normally I will drive straight to the hotel and park there for the duration of my stay, taking taxis for the commute around KL instead.

Pls just take the usual precautions. Park somewhere bright and busy. Depending where you go... malaysia is a big place... it will be safe. There are also many f30s in malaysia.... so, its a pretty common car there also.

Don't think BMW will track a stolen car ....

Don't drive to Malaysia. F30 confirm tio mark

I'm driving a 1 month old F30 LCI , and I have drove it to JB for 4 times already, driving to KSL Mall, and permas Jaya for supper. I wouldn't say its not safe, but please use the usual common sense like parking where it's near to your makan place, use steering lock, keep all valuables and bags out of sight. on top of that, there are many F10 and F30 malaysian registered vehicles driving around too, and you also don't see them parking in dark alleys. Just some common sense will prevent you from being a target and please don't fan the fear also lah.

Thanks for all the replies and advices... Yes of course common sense prevails!

I parked at the hotels CP in JB and Malacca, so was well taken care of.

Certainly risks are still there and insurance are in place to take care of stuff like that. : )

Think the best is dont be too complacent thinking its nt gonna happen to us. Drive safe!

Park at paid car park either use touch and go card or keep car park coupon with you. It should make getaway more difficult.

I don't think BMW will be targeted as BMW are quite common in Malaysia especially in kl .

Toyota oso common in MY; many stolen. LOL.
I was told common car is good; easy to sell off after stealing. LOLOL...

I try not to drive to MY; I'd rather rent a car if I do. Heard too many stories happening to friends & relatives. FYI, my bro-in-law's proton (MY plate) oso kena stolen. So...

I don't think so leh. I went to JB many times a few ago months ago. I think they rather steal Japanese or Malaysian brand car. Cheaper to sell [emoji23]
