'Unlicensed' driver accused of causing pedestrian's death
A saleswoman who allegedly drove without a licence was on Wednesday charged with causing the death of an elderly pedestrian through her negligence.
Candy Siow Pei Shan, 23, is said to have driven without keeping a proper lookout at the junction of Bukit Batok East Avenue 3 and Avenue 4 on Feb 12 last year.
She allegedly made a right turn and nearly hit a car before veering to the left, mounting the kerb and hitting Mr Tan Son Seng, 70, who was standing on a pedestrian walkway.
He died of his injuries at the scene, about 20 minutes later.

something is seriously wrong nowadays that people actually "dare" to drive without license like bo tai chi .... need to send a "strong" signal out

Sometimes I dun understand the charge sheets that the Police draft. Very amatuerish many of them.
If a person is charged with driving without a license, it should just be that cos all other elements are secondary.
But in this case, she is being charged with negligent driving without keeping a proper look out. So if she is a damn good driver, its ok and will just get warning even if she has no license and insurance to drive?

Not so fast bro... I waited 2years+ for my traffic offence's appeal, till date status still pending... Bravos Traffic Department!!!

Might be "technical reasons" e.g overseas driving license not converted to Singapore license or a few other reasons I can think of. No license automatically no insurance coverage. I'm just guessing. Anyway I think most of their charges go through AGC, if AG say warning, IO will just follow.
