Juicebox for n20 feedback

hi,

went down to install juicebox for n20 today. As it was too late (5pm), didn't get a chance do a dyno.
Instead went for a drive with Nic.

Initial feedback are
@ Comfort - engine is noticeably different above 2k rpm. More willing to deliver. Tried wot to 5k, the acceleration is definitely an improvement.

@ eco mode - most significant difference. It seems a different car. Before this i dread driving in this mode. Pickup is comparable to the old comfort mode. However, still can't get use to the lower airflow from the Aircon at this mode. Its good for night driving or on a cooler day doubt i will be engaging much in this mode.

@Sport mode - hmm.. haven't tested much. was already very impressed with the old Sport mode. After the JB, iaking advantage of the ligher traffic, at 11pm, i took the car out for a fun run. Its feels the same in lower rev but turn scary at around 5k rpm. Ran out of road and balls so i head home.

@Sport plus mode - never test. Expect to be same as sports.

In general, i feel there is a definite improvement/ difference at 2k and 5k rpm.
Will arrange to go for the free dyno in the coming weeks..

Re: Juicebox for n20 feedback

will have to stick to ron 98 now and maybe wait for jb4 (integration to CAN bus) later.

Yo Guys, we'll be doing a run on the DYNO with the Juicebox On and Off once our DYNO Machine is up and running again (technical fault, wear & tear)!

Looks like it's time for a Verse comparison soon!

Can we do a frenly benchmark with a stock F30 335? If the JB did a good job on the N20, time to scrap the 335 whahahhaaa

doubt N20B20 can match N55B30 after tuning especially in real life driving

It should for the low-mid, high wun. Just like a tuned up 335 cant pace the M3 as well, capacity still rules over highway.

But a 2.0T is always best for tuning, it always give wonderful results from 4 potters :cloud9:

I tot after tune up, the 4 potter can show high end power matching or exceeding a stock 6 potter but the mountain of torque from stock n55b30 at 1300 rpm is gonna pull it away from the n20b20

As for tuning gains, i agree that we have seen credible results from VAG 2L and perhaps Mit 2L in the evo not to mention other illustrious examples :cloud9:

Its more evident across the rpm bands after a tune. However, no matter the induction, a 4 potter remains at that amt of air that it can receive. A highly tuned one like Jap rides can give a better fight but it wun last as well.

Take for example a tuned Audi B8 S4 (3.0T), it matches the bhp of a E90 M3, surpasses its torque, but in the highway, the M3 just pull from it once u get past the 200-230km/ mark and so on. Local wise a 2.0T is very versatile, the obvious position of a high capacity is evident once u get to NSHW.

We can do a friendly benchmark tho, between a tuned N20 and stock N55.

Re: Juicebox for n20 feedback

Hi there, care to share if any error codes came up after installation?

I'm also interested in tuning my car but saw a thread in the 6 series section about JB3 and am concerned about any potential problems.
