I used to drive a compact 316i..then switched to Celica for 8 years... got bitten by mod bug and learned a fair bit about it...got the torque up and enhanced fuel economy. I now switched to a black E36. Hope to learn more from everyone on ways to improve the performance for this car.
I got this ride from Barry..member of this club. He and previous owner really took good care of the car..even passed me thick stack of receipts..took me a while to store the various mods done in excel. Hope to continue the good work done.
yeah i guess that is the same for all e36. they are built for high end torque. your's is a 320, which is so much better then mine, a 316. haha is your's auto or manual? a maunal's low end is a bit better too.
I read that 320i is heavier, hence 316i will be more agile..better for Singapore urban traffic condition.
I hope to do some changes to improve the pick up. Good thing is that I waited and got a manual.
ohh no. there are not much weight difference actually. it's the same chasis, just that the engine for a 6 potter is heavier. yeap it's always better to get a manual e36. too bad mine is auto.
me married..very curious.. wonder what this club thing is all about.
Anyway, back to E36.. now building a wish list...Really hope to improve low torque and fuel consumption of car.
- add oil pressure & oil temp gauges
- ighten the flywheel
- change to carbon filter bonnet
- fit electric fan
- fit 4 pot caliper
I have also a number of gadgets leftover from my Celica. Wonder if anyone know if they can fit E36?
- Blitz PowerMeter
- Apexi Turbo Timer
- Pivot shift light
