Just Not My Day

I was driving along AYE heading towards Jurong when something hit my windscreen hard. Now there is this about 1cm bullseye and a S crack line along my windsceen n its nearly 15cm long.:furious:

Called my insurance agent, he told me to bring down my car to either Glass Fix or Tuffi Clad.

Has anyone got their windscreen done with either of them. I'm worried about leaking.

aren't insurance cover "free" windscreen replacement?
zero excess and ncd not affected.

I've had 3 fixes on 3 different cars with Glass Fix. I have no complaints whatsoever with their service or workmanship. Though I think you should go and have them check if your crack can be salvaged. 15cm does sound like a bad one.

I had my bull eye repair by Glass Fix for my previous car. But 15cm crack I don't think can repair.

15cm sounds scary, might compromise the structural integrity of the windscreen.
if your policy covers without affecting ncb, i say its best to change it then

Hey dude, front windscreen replacement should be FOC. Check your insurance docs.

From my understanding, 100 for excess is the standard unless specifically stated in your insurance docs. Definately won't affect NCB.

Insurances should cover 1 windscreen change FOC if I am not wrong. Windscreen is an essential part of your car's structural rigidity, do get it changed soon.

I had a similar experience in my previous car.

It started with a 1 cm crack, by the time I reached the workshop, it had "grown" to 30 cm.

Glass Fix did a pretty good job for me. No complaints.

Most insurance companies charge $100 for windscreen replacements. Your NCD will not be affected.

thkx guys for all your support, went down to glass fix this morning n they checked with AXA my insurance n replacement of 1st windscreen is freeeeeeee

Made appt. to get it done tomorrow as they need to order a new windscreen n told the whole process shld take ard 2hrs.
