2.5 years in, and a freak accident happened.

A new set of new wheels prompted an observation that shredded "belt" strips were coming out of the engine bay. Realised that the power-steering/deflection pulley has been damaged, and as a result shredded the ribbed belt from the edges. Thankfully, it was discovered by chance. The belt could still be running on lesser threads, but the pulley looks to give way any time. If it had given way..............

How did it happen? Possible a foreign object dropped in and grinded the pulley........
