The Bilstein/Eibach combo has a proven nice ride height, so I decided to go for the Koni/Eibach combo after I considered mobilefriend and SMYuen's comments.
(they posted that the FSD/Koni Spring combo was slammed)
It's been about a week since I installed the Koni FSDs and Eibachs.
The ride is more comfortable with than my stock sus, but then again my stock ones are 3.5years old. Handling is of course improved + car looks nicer.
BUT the effect is not like the Bilstein/Eibach combo! :thinking:
Here are a couple pics, pre and post mod.
Premod: 4 fingers front, 2-3 fingers rear.
Postmod: 1+ front, 2 rear!
Now my car is quite obviously 'raked.' Argh... Spoke to quite a few experts at the workshop as well as some other helpful bros at today's meetup but most are stumped. Anybody got comments? Thought that ride height is always governed by springs... well.
The guys who installed it are willing to give me a pair of Sachs springs for the rear and hope that they make my rear sit/tucked at less than 1 or no finger space.
I am not too comfortable with the fact that the front and rear springs will not be 'matched.' (brand wise) Well then again, I am not so car-tech 'informed' enough to know whether this is ok/safe or not. Comments and opinions are welcome.
