was testing the car at sepang yesterday. amazing machine. factory driver did a 2:09. best other semi-pros clocking 2:11-2:13. err i was crap 2:21car is very strong. few drivers did 35 laps in the morning session on 1 set of tires. oil temp never exceeded 115.

car is stock road engine and gearbox.

Wow 35+ consecutive hotlaps at 2:1x avg -- race cars are at a completely different level to road cars :yikess:

only reason your time was so far off is cos you couldn't fit properly mate..

the higher performing a vehicle is, the more critical fit is :)

i dunno mate...even if fit is correct...its very hard to even get into mid teens. how to compete? i may just do one race for the heck of it...n to support mel. fuji? shanghai? some of the taiwan teams r hiring pro drivers. i will just do it for the glamour and the ECA.....hehe.

Focusing on I4 with more efficient charging when going beyond 300hp (rotrex SC or garrett custom turbo). Sequential manual paddleshifter with fail safes, traction control, are all options.

V8 is actually not in production any more but we can get one, or we can build one.
It is not cost effective however, because small lightweight high revving NAs cost a lot to maintain. Only in a very efficient space constrained car like a pure racing single seater, or a small very aero efficient prototype based car does it make sense.
