Interesting news regarding the 318i and the 323i. It may benefit the consumer for the 323i because currently, the options that are unavailable on the 320i include the chrome trim, sports wheel, 17" rims. If they exclude these and include xenons. kekekeke

How can PM be making barely $5k for selling $41k-OMV/13k-COE 3series @ $126k ? Unless you are saying SE commission is $8000 per 3s they sell.
But you are right, BM+SE does make more than 20K per IS250 based on 36k/13k @ 126k.

Think he erroneously took into account all the finance rebates & offsets given by the Finance Companies. From my rough cal, PML is making approx S$18k. Borneo Motors is making approx S$22k. Px for the IS250 standard has been reduced to S$120k, 16" rims.

No error here . You are assuming that PML is the importer of BMW. This is INCORRECT. BMW SEA Pte Ltd is the sole importer . They OBVIOUSLY do not sell the cars to PML at Cost . Not for a million years .
PML margins are indeed VERY low for the 3s. If PML cannot see more than a 1xxx 3s by year end, they would be in trouble.
Unfortunately , my understanding (at this juncture) is the Borneo are quite happy with the sales of the IS250. They prefer not to compete for the "MARGINAL 3 series Buyers" . (The Lexus SE words, not mine ! ), and correspondingly , will not lower prices just yet .
If Borneo changes its mind, then it would indeed be very good news for potential 3 buyers .
The 3s pricing will only get better IF / WHEN Borneo decides to lower the IS 250 prices.
Competetion - The last Bastion for the consumer.

Er.. the entry level 3series are priced to move... but don't mistake that PML has desperate pricing for the entire 3 range.
Some bros here have pant and heave and whatever.. but they will not chopped down their margins for their higher range. Look at it carefully... the mid level bimmers, pml margins are quite nice and fat.
PS - BTW, heng ah.. did get the IS250.. sure peng san.. price dropped so much. Where there is a high margin.. theres always room for tumbling down.

why not? especially when there is an ongoing promotion to rein in the buyers to bimmer over Merc since bimmer lost out in sales for the first 2 months of the year. based on previous yrs' trending, promotion do not usually run in this period...mayb also because GST going up soon...
