Leather Seat Peeling....

Hi, i just noticed the grey leather on my driver's seat is starting to crack and peel..... Does anyone have any tips on restoration, repair or just plain preventing the darn thing from getting worse?

if your car is still new, might be covered under warranty i think.

it's a 2 yr old car..... wouldn't it be considered under normal wear and tear?

no harm just trying your luck. but since its already 2 yr old, don't get your hopes up and be prepared for lots of BS if the CSA's a tw@t.

I doubt it's covered by warranty.

I brought my car in today to fix some things. One of them was a ticking sound from the driver's seat everytime I go over a bump. The guy said it's not covered by warranty and will be looking at $200 or so. To fix the ticking!

What did he say the ticking was caused by?

I heard the E46 were wrapped locally by Jackspeed.

I had similar problem with my old car. Yes, E46 leather seats were supplied by Jackspeed. I gave them a call before and they told me that I need to replace my seats.

The PML guy told me he needs to strip out the seat to tell me what the ticking is about. Will take 2 days to a week! And will cost upwards of $200...

Are yours normal wear and tear or due to inferior leather quality by Jackspeed? I also heard PML terminated Jackspeed as subcon after tons of complaints by customer.
