Today is the last LTRO (longer-term refinancing operations) offering from ECB... watch for the ECB announcment on the results soon this afternoon/evening...

489billion is borrowed during the first tranche... market expectation for today's offering is 500billion ... personally i feel that if less than 500billion is tapped the market might interprete as good news because things aint as "bad" as they seem... if it far exceeds 500billion..market might perceive that banks are desperate....

I think the real market moves will start after this announcement.....1 thing for certain la...liquidity is pumped into the system...for ppl who want to short..have to be really selective(bad news, poor results etc) and try not to short index shares as most likely these are the counters that will attract money flow...
