update - the owner got in touch with me and his car is in perfect condition. so i apologize to him (if he ever reads this) and thank him for indulging me with the numerous pics of his car and being a gentleman and gracious about it. i also owe him a few beers at his discretion

he was very gracious. before he check his car, he said if he accidentally hit, he will resolve it for sure.
so kudos to him (meanwhile, i can close the matter since there's no way to find the other white car / gigantic hare)
