Looking to buy: a 2.5l Z4

just called her, apparently the owner's holding out for $170k and the car's 1 year old already. 
, not that it's a bad deal, just not as attractive especially since a year old 2.5l went for $160k just last week... i think i'm gonna pass.
but thanks for the contact tanzy. any idea if jericho's planning on selling? hehe, think he has the colour combi that i like....

TTS oddly enough, doesn't PI the Z4 although they paste a huge pic of it on their homepage... :screwedu:

i believe the 2.5L is going for 200k and the 3.0L is priced ard 225k at PML
a PI Z4 from juzz4cars is cheaper, but i've been down there to take a look and its spec sheet isn't anything to shout about.
i'm currently waiting for TTS to get back to me with a quotation for a PI, that is, if they're able to bring in a PI at all. i can update you abt the pricing then if u are keen.

The price now is going for $198K drop 2K i think because of the recent COE.
Also there is 25% interest rebate ... which you will save $10K on interest but I am not sure there is any terms and conditions apply to this which I need to do some investigation here ...
What is your prefer color ? In case there is one on paper then we don't have to fight over it

hmm, the PML deal sounds promising. may go check it out over the weekend.
i prefer sapphire black/sterling grey/titanium silver in that order. red leather is essential though...
dun worry if u outbid me, as donald trump says: its not personal, its just business. but if u want to coordinate our Z4 search efforts, gimme a call or PM me your contact and we'll discuss. perhaps we could get a better deal at the PI or PML if we were to purchase together.

seriously though, if price and dislike of PML aren't key considerations, go for the 2005 model. comes with goodies like white indicator lights (costly option on older models) and headunits that play MP3s.
also, if u can wait, the 3.0L valvetronic and 2.0L valvetronic Z4 should be out end of next year, with i suspect, a mild facelift. the former has more than 250bhp and the latter should be cheaper than the current 2.5L. i'd love to wait for the 2.0L but my circumstances dun allow that, though things may be different with u. perhaps Tanzy, who also frequents Z4um too, may have some insights on this?
older models have reported probs with their auto roof and loose windows, so do consider that too.

Thanks, I will keep you informed in terms of the deal with PML ... I believe there is only 2 units left according to the sales rep. one white and one black. If this is not what you want then the next shipment will deliver by 2 to 3 mos if you order now
As for the model, engine, options etc ... there is always a better model out there. Waiting is always a challenge for me if you know what i mean.

i'm back. OT abit here.... had a bad diving experience (safety compromised, etc) with this company called Seaborne Scuba..... so if any of u out there are divers... i wouldn't recommend them.

TTS has quoted me 190K negotiable, for a merlot red 2.5L Z4, will be shipped in around january... not a good deal, if u ask me. i hear the PML deal on the 10k loan rebate ended yesterday.... is that true? i dun mind waiting 2-3 months, as long as i get it before june next year.

you are right. i was hoping that someone would be able to bring in a 2.2L, but no one seems to be able or willing to do that, and since it has been discontinued for MY 2005, i can only conclude that with each passing day, the possibility gets bleaker. :verysad:

Yes, I managed to test drive one today and I realise a few things:
1) Interior space is not as big as it looks basically you are fully wrapped by the top and the door
2) I stretch the seat all the way to the back ... i mean all the way to the back until there is no longer can stretch further. So if you are taller than 5 ft 11 inches then you may have a problem
3) The car is very low ... if you have a back problem you may want to think twice
4) Say something good lah ... the ride is wonderful, good handling, power is there 2.5L. If I want to put a word to explain my feeling of this car say "Fun" VS "Excitement", I would use the word "FUN". The problem is FUN can be bored one day
5) Top down take about 7 seconds ... fast and good workmanship, no need to clip here and clip there
6) Dash is very simple no fancy staff in fact very plain and I ask myself whether the car is over price ...

Yes, talk to the sales rep. as well the 25% interest rebate was ended last Friday but 20% from now until end of the month. There is a catch here esp. for early settlement you may need to return the prorate interest. I forgot to ask a question: what is the best loan program will fully make sure of interest rebate program.
So TTS offer 190K some more negotiable. So if we manage to get 185K would that be a good deal. You don't seem like the deal offer by TTS any reservation that you can share with me. By the way check it out this URL ... there is a used one was sold last week :furious:

well, i feel that the price difference between TTS and PML is not compelling enough to settle for a PI.
i also dun think that maldives Z4 was sold last week.... i called about 2 weeks ago and was told that it had already been sold. as for the low price, if u look real close..... u'll notice that those are 16" rims.... :shock: i think even comfort cabs come with 17" as standard these days....
was down at PML today as well, looking at a new one now... yup, realise i missed the 25% rebate... :verysad: so what are your colour preferences?

According to the sales girl only left with the following colors:
Alp white - Red interior
Merlot Red - Black interior
Tit. Silver - Red interior
Sap Black - Red interior
All come with Black Top
If order different color from above you have to wait until March or early April
