plus a straight forward decision for conviction, minus conviction of "hit & run".canuck78;947867 said:Thanks for the update, guess TP will take it from there.

doesnt look like he hit the motorist on purpose - but he clearly flouted a few rules prior to the accident.
what an idiot!!!!!
canuck78;948038 said:To be fair, really don't know what he was thinking or trying to do.
Nonetheless, the end result of his action is clear - with the video evidence.
Nowdays there are plenty of heavy vehicles on lane 3 and lane 2, and bikes in between on white lines.
Sober reminder for all of us to drive safe.

No point proving a point of law about who has the right of way or not, if you're gonna be in a fcuking coma because you found out the hard way that Newton's Second Law actually applies in the real world.

When I watched the vid, was reminded of this night when I exited KPE to PIE (near Kallang bahru) on a two lane carriageway. This long trailer was lumbering on the right of the two lanes and I was on the left. As I drove alongside it (which I should have had the foresight that the mighty trailer driver might change his mind or not have the presence of one), the mighty trailer decided to suddenly swerve left into my lane.
For those who are gonna type, see lah, black car, people cannot see you at night, I was driving the bluewater that night.
I braked very hard and swerved till my left mirror was brushing the left shrubs; I knew how ugly it would have been my car was caught and dragged under his rear left wheels. Of course, the BMW horn did its job and I saw his rear left wheels miss the back if my car by inches. Would have to be scooped up otherwise.
My hands were still trembling when I got to office and related the incident to one of my deputies and his wife. He started tearing.. Dunno whether he was glad God protected me or that I stayed alive to continue giving them more work and scoldings. He is a very sweethearted person.
Of course, my intuituve Mom called and she gave me a sharp lecture when I got home. Now, she always reminds me now when she's in my car, its not about right of way but size can be might.
Stay safe, everyone.

Visited the injured motorist in my viral beedeo today. Thankful she is fine however with another operation to go, after two operation performed on her. Glad that she will take a stand against the road tyrant after she recovered. Let wish her speedy recovery.
However on the sad part, until now no arrest has been made by the police- according to ST. I certainly hope that investigation in progress after I have email e clip to SPF last Saturday. A fair punishment is answerable to the public.
