As above, any feedback? Both are LTA approved. If the costs is similar for both, which one would you go with?

Feedback I received thus far:

M Performance

- Original BMW part
- Warranty provided by MA; supposedly will not void PML's side
- Nice M chrome pipe
- Minimal droning

Eisenmann Quad

- It is quad vs twin for MPE
- Better sound
- Void warranty but who cares

Eisenmann ..............you only live once.

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

no la Quads wun put on tat much weight given that there is ONLY one muffler..the other side is just additional pipes for better exhaust fumes exit.

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

More weight like 10kg or so
But the car is like 1700kg
Meaning the weight penalty is 0.5% which is insignificant imo

Thanks for clearing that up.

Weight was the main item a workshop highlighted to me when i made an enquiry on quads vs twins.

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

Bro,
Does the droning cause any vibrations/rattling in the interior?
Mine does slightly. A mate of mine had it worse on his 3yo f10

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

IMHO M-Performance exhaust pale in comparison to most 3rd party ones. Eisenmann over M-Performance anyday.

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

Eventually settled for Eisenmann Sports; waited for about a month for shipment to arrive and installed recently.

I must say that I look forward even more to start up my car every morning :sneaky:

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

Congrats on your exhaust!!
Can I know what's your ride?
And it would be great if you could give a review of your newly installed exhaust.

Re: M Performance Twin Exhaust vs. Eisenmann Quad Sports Exhaust

It's looking good TWTan!

I too took the plunge n placed order for the eisenmann quads for my F10 523.

Waiting time about 1 mth.

I chose it over t other alternatives after doing some reading in t forums...n the fact that Eisenmann does the factory exos for porsche.

Hope I made t right choice!

Thanks folks as well as couple of others who PM-ed me.

The stock exhaust together with the N55 wasn't that bad to start off with. However, the sound from the new exhaust provided a lot more bass and you can definitely hear and feel it especially during the morning start up :D. Would have liked it even more if it has the throaty growling sound as well… Drove it hard one day with the Sports mode and I was pleasantly surprised with the popping sound in-between gear shift. Was told that there could be some loss on low-end torque but I haven’t really felt any difference. Overall, I’m happy with the result as it is not obnoxiously loud but provides a nice bassy growl .
