SM,

Been a long time... thanks for your advice on the Z4 the last time.

Congrats on your new ride. Got pics? My wife has been lusting after the GT for some time.
Your wife not driving Z4 anymore, or has she now moved on to the boxster.

You bringing your GT to the monthly meetup tomorrow?

Hi DRV,

good to hear from you... the GT is a solid car.. worth the wait and the $$ IMHO. Probably one of the best cars in its class especially taking into account its pricing, rarity, looks, performance and handling. It wont lose out to a 7 series in "BMW-ness" by much.

Z4 has been sold already.. yes wife is in boxster S.. but strangely she how has a nostalgic craze of her old mini cooper... hur hur!

so mebbe before i know it the boxster wil be sold and she will be in her beloved yellow mini cooper s manual with black roof and black racing stripes.. (which is good .... cos can save a lot of $$$... hehehehe)

Will try to go for meet up but i havent been able to go for close to a year.. hope to make it today with my GT.

Cheers!

Re: Maserati owners.. Hands up

How come the rear wheels of the GT sit so much inside the wheel arch and with huge gap in between? I thought wheels are 20" already. Is the suspension too soft? Maybe can tune lower and harder? And what's the 0-100km time in S'pore temperature and humidity?

Re: Maserati owners.. Hands up

I am currently contemplating btw a Maser GT or a Porker C2S.. Any bro here care to comment?

Go for the GT if you want a luxo cruiser. The Maser is more luxurious, bigger, heavier, and refined. The Porker is rawer, lighter, and has better steering feel (due to the lower weight at the front).

Re: Maserati owners.. Hands up

agreed with Remus... test drove the C2S b4, the feel under the steering is damn good. if u luv good handling machine especially on the track, Poker will b the one.

if u want a head turner, spacios, luxury yet sporty car, GT will be the one..... but i wonder how long will the look last since its still very new to the market.:( not forgetting the 4.7L GT with possibly sportier body kit will be launch year end..:( :( :(

look at 10 years ago poker, today still looks good!

Re: Maserati owners.. Hands up

Hi Remus, tks for the reply! I am currently driving a 650i.. and intend to keep it and add a GT or C2S.. shd i still go for a GT since both 650 and GT are grand tourer..

Re: Maserati owners.. Hands up

having a 650i, a heavy luxocoupe, I think your garage will do with better variety from a lighter handling-biased car with different engine configuration like C2S, Cayman, Boxster, R8, F430, etc.

Since you are keeping the 650i, i would recommend that you go for the C2S which will complement the 6 series nicely. In fact you might want to consider other cars like the cayman S and the elise which are even more balanced that the C2S. The driving experiences of the GT and of the 650i are just too similar (V8, front engine, rear wheel drive, fairly long wheel base, coupe) for one to keep both. The C2S on the other hand is a flat six, short wheel base, and rear engine car.
