so, 6 years you actually own the house and car liao ....

Still must feed the family, etc, so it should take about 12 years to be debt free, so say start work at 26 years old after graduation, target to be debt free by 38.

wise man can say anything, but wiser guy does it..... i also say pay cash for everything, but man will never be satisfied. i go look for gcb soon..... wat the heck!
just like car loan for 10 years, more people can afford to buy (first time buyers), then instead of control car population with wat coe, erp, etc.... car population exploded the last 10 years or so..... driving have never been more stressful nowadays, even on PB n sundays.....
so same for housing, prices will not go down with this 50 year loan approved..... unless something BIG happen....
initial plan to be debt free will not be realised as once i drove a car, now, i upgraded to a bigger one. n house also same.....

Even wiser man says relocate, work abroad as PR, pay lesser or equal tax, keep sg passport, siam reservist, free from 'FTs' raping your own country, wait, return when hot air burst/expat exodus, acquire cheap properties again in times like 1997, 2003.

Who cares about national contribution, pride and dignity? :roll: You can count on the FTs for that!

$1,100,000 is 40% discount of top 1000 earners "median" salary (year 2011 income assessment benchmark)
without 40% discount, should be $1,800,000+- leh ... dun play play ... $600K is peanut
anyway, these group dont buy resale hdb or wait 3 years for bto ... so no worry
