P/S: I wld suggest splitting the convoy into smaller grps.. easier to handle and also u wld not have to travel at 60km/h. Why??.... if we had one convoy of say 15 cars, the first car say 70-80 the last car will be doing a good 100-120 at least, so why not we break the convoy to a max of 5 cars each grp, easier to handle and we can also travel at a comfortable speed, just my 2 cents worth.

Hey shaaz... thanks for the suggestion.. really appreciate that..I was just thinking if we can have a long convoy, it will be really nice.. i know a few years ago.. there was a convoy of 40+cars and all maintained in 1 single lane from fort road to shea bridge.. i can imagine how beautiful it was seeing 1 long line of headlights... hehe...i am thinking too big liao... haha..

I do not see the need to break up into smaller convoys.
As long as there in constant communication (i.e. walkies) I believe the convoy can travel pretty nicely.

Especially so at the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Pace urself not to cheong traffic lights in long convoy. All just RV on the expressway then swee swee liao.

Dun later some decide to chut pattern and cheong all the way down. invite extra attention.

As long as drivers is out to enjoy the morning drive and not take it as a prelude to F1 blast, it's perfectly ok to stick together.

The reason why the back cars need to catch up is only because the front car starts to pull off to higher speed. If the car maintain constant speed and drivers maintain their discipline and dive in a convoy, staying with the car in front, it is definitely possible to have a nice long convoy. We did a 46 car am drive convoy in one sigle file, without car breaking up some years back. If u r in front, u look thru your rear view mirror and see the streams of lights spreading 1km back, u will really be amazed by the sight..

Breaking up into smaller convoy spoils the fun and it's as good as goint to the destination yourself.

Try to stay with highways and stay within the speed limit and you will get the total satisfaction when u pass the cars on the road and you see the driver face go.... "WOAH"

I agree with piggy... last year we did a 15 cars wedding convoy for one of our forum bro.. at times, infect many times, part of the convoy will be broken due to traffic lights... but with proper co-ordination with the help of walkies, getting into line again fast is no sweat.. it will just take 1 or 2 non cooperative drivers to spoil the whole convoy....

talking abt walkie.... gadaffi or FIFI, where is my brand new walkie?

Just a gentle reminder..

The time and the meeting location are not fixed. I might change to a later timing, like 6:30AM or 7AM, which i believe the traffic condition should be quite alright still. The meeting place, i have in mind, Raffles Marina (the furthest), West Coast Park, and Fort Road Carpark. As for food, i will try to find out whether they have other foods nearby, if not, something can always be arranged.

So do put down your name if you are interested to join, I will see how the response is and adjust accordingly. And this round, I will bring video camera.. hehe.. any volunteer to be the cameraman??
