Have a check on yur steering column rod cupping. (The connection part which can be seen at engine bay)

Ive had tat replaced under warranty claim & solve e screeching noise. (after many many talking / visiting)

If your power steering is hydraulics based then check the power steering fluid.

Exactly same problem! Only morning. After few turns will be fine.

Steering fluid is normal. No less.

encountering similar "mouse noise" as well, and notice that the steering doesnt turn smoothly over the duration of the noise.
went to PML since under warranty but they tell me no fault found as problem is intermitten.
also notice lots of screeching sound from brakes when driving; PML serviced the brake pads, but it only lasted me til home before the noise came back again...
