Get all the prove that u r 2nd owner and you have to follow them back TP station. It's very troublesome. Non-Msian car, TP only recognize car number. U no horse run ;)

Do what my friend is still doing...his car has 9 outstanding summon against it...and cost over 1K odd.

Print out the list of outstanding summon....go to LTA and ask them to issue you with a proof that you are the owner after the offence date.

Keep this letter in your car when you go across the causeway and if you happen to be stopped, show them the LTA letter.

A bit hassle...but so far my friend has no issue with the Polis there yet. They will stop you...but after checking, they will let you thru.

The best solution is to approach the used car dealer that you bought the car from and ask them to settle the matter with the previous owner. Then have a copy of the payout in your car as proof of payment.

A tip for everyone.

When you buy a used car, get the dealer to give you a black and white that the car is summon free. If there is outstanding against it, they must be liabile to clear the summon for you.

Although SG is quite ok...cos when the transfer is done, the summon automatically follows the ex owner. But just take the b/w as well from the dealer.

Same thing in Msia. Before the transfer is done, must clear all summon in JPJ. ;)

Well, I do have the letter from LTA stating the date of transfer of ownership. Will this do? :ehhh:

Hi Bro,
I heard that there is some Malaysian Polis website whether we can check if our vehicle had been previously summoned. Does anyone have a link to this site? I was planning to drive up north next week and thought of checking if it my current ride has had any previous fines before proceeding.

Haiz... if not must go T-loan one of those CD-plate cars oredi. Easy access! :) kekekekekeke!

hey i tried to pay for the summons via the rilek link, but after I have "added to list" and proceed to "check list", i see no other way of proceeding. like that how to pay?

anybody has successfully done it before? boleh?

Tak boleh. Credit card payment not available yet.

Only internet banking... then YES. If you got more than 5 summons, I suggest you drive in to JB - TP Station and pay. Ask for discount, they do provide.

the 2nd link near msia customs there the booth can pay? any idea?

That one can (if they open), but NO discount given.

For all: Keep the receipt after you pay ur summons. sometimes the system will still show you got balance summons !!!
