judging from the number of parts item you get in this m-tech package it looks complete to me. the material looks pretty solid to me too. so it will be down to the price and saving you gain going replica. if the saving its $500 and below after parts landed, sprayed, fitted, forget it. Go get the OEM BMW M-Dynamic kit or try get used.

OEM parts are typically (not all) PU material, polyurethane. Strong and flexible. More costly.

Fibreglass is very brittle/fragile, less costly, and typically lots of works needed to cover the inherent wavy flaws.

There is also FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastics) and ABS (petroleum based) material, stronger than FG. In between PU and FG.

Then of course, there is Carbon Fibre......

oem = oem price
it's easy if buying new
buying used one, gotta becareful. easy way is to look for the BMW logo inprinted behind the bodykit (non spray)

be careful though cos there are some unscrupulous ppl selling passing off replicas as oem and at oem prices

You see from photos, of course you cannot differentiate. After some prep works, priming and spraypainting, you will be able to tell the difference.....

depends on price bro

some workshop offered 2.6k for an e60 replica mtech kit with spray to one of my customers.
he asked me for my opinion.
i just told him go find Mike of SWC, add 400 bucks more for original mtech kit with spray @ 3k.
that 1st workshop should do some reflection on their pricing if they want to be competitive enough.

This hdautofans happen to be real. Most of their products are replica, but many are original (those are expensive).

actually the best way to know whether the parts are genuine or replica is to ask the seller to advertise in this Forum.

Our Forum CSI like Hitmee and Kenntona will dissect his products claims and origins and quality and If replica, the thread will be deleted in less than a day.
