Anyone have recommendation for muffler for E92? Looking for budget stuff....CFO control.

HI AC.

I feel it's better to just delete the muffler. Hahah. So during inspection can just weld it back on. I think they could check if you operated on your muffler. Im worrying now about mine haha. Most probably gonna go for a LTA approved exhaust soon.

But it's my opinion only uh, no offence what-so-ever.

Andd i don't think muffler improves any performance right? It's the whole exhaust setup that plays the role in increasing the HP. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Re: Muffler for E92

any non stock welds on your exhaust will be an lta defect.

if that doesnt matter to you and you drive a 335, removal of the secondary cat in the mid pipe is a cheap mod and creates a nice growl.

Anywayy, i did a few experiments just for fun. Might help you decide on what you gonna do.

1st Mod:
Kept the cats and operated on the muffler - Sounded slightly bassy. But ain't noticeable at high rpm. Not really worth the money IMHO.

2nd Mod:
Removed the cats and kept the 'operated' muffler - Sounded more bassier, ultimate drone around 2-3k rpm. Low end suffered but who cares. Sounds great. Hahaha.

3rd Mod:
Removed the Mufflers and Cats - Sounded like a BEAST. I cannot 'ANGKAT' the sound man, very loud and bubbly-ish. Backfire was a killer.... Cold start-up was really amazing but it sounded quite disgusting when revved. =p

4th Mod (Current Set-Up):
Placed the Cats back and Removed the muffler. Replaced it with stainless steel pipes. Start-up amazing as hell. Still got the bubbly-ish sound when revved. Well bubbly in a sense that it sounds like you're guggling. Don't really like that as well. Droning bad as usual.

SO, I'm most probably going to go back to my 2nd Mod soon while deciding on which exhaust i am going to get next. Either Eissenmann sports or Remus. HMMMMMM

Well good luck anyway.
