Need help on E66 rear entertainment setup

my 2007 e66 came with the dual monitor dvd setup and i could get everything to work except for the audio. somehow the audio doesn't come through the car speakers but only the headphone jack with you attach a earphone to it.

any fellow owners could share with me if this is the standard config i.e. can only be heard through earphones? can't be that silly right?

hey sean! so far so good for me. even brand new bimmers have their fair share of issues so don't expect it to be perfect. after all, we're talking about a 5-6 years old ride.

really depends on how long you intend to drive the car. if it's short term, just get the lowest depreciation you can find in the market. if it turns out to be a lemon, just export/scrap it and the loss should be manageable due to its high OMV.

if you plan to drive longer term, insist on sending the car for pre-purchase inspection. if possible, get one with warranty e.g. from PPSL. some dealers also tie up with 3rd party warranty program e.g lim tan motors. mine came with 1 year comprehensive warranty by QBE insurance. expect to pay slightly more for these cars but for the peace of mind, i think it's worth it.

its a stand alone system, u need to use the aux in if i recall correctly.
