New M135i vs old M140i

anyone here signed up for the new M135i? i am significantly impressed by this new model.

but would like to hear viewpoints of whether it has a clear cut edge over the M140i?

You can watch and perhaps come to your own conclusion.

I have the 2014 m135i pre-LCI and with 6-cyl., 3ltr ready to go anytime and RWD, I'm blessed to be owning this car. Start the engine and I'm all smiles. It's significantly more reliable than my BMW MINI, but that's just my comment from my own experience. Only downside, is the higher tax and insurance premiums, probably due to my age.

The new m135i supposedly has better build quality and definitely comes with new tech. in it. These are something I can live without. I cannot live with the ugly fronts, no matter how I try to make it work, and this is subjective.

It is ultimately your choice but hopefully you can make a more informed decision with this. Go for a test drive!

Thanks for sharing. I tested the new M135i and really like its dynamics. But probably also due to it being the first M I tried. I was looking at the M140i and like its specs - RWD, 6 cylinder etc. Will be tempted to get a used M140i if price and condition are good.

if you are considering a used ride, please ensure it still has the 5 year warranty coverage in place. And go for the extended 3 years warranty when offered by BIS (previous Munich)

Thanks, will likely get it from the used car division of PML with at least another 3 years warranty. Anyway, I find the rear legroom of the M140i not as good as new M135i.
