Hi everyone,

I'm ecstatic as I'm finally fulfilling my childhood dream of owning a BMW and it is a 1 Series 118i sport model. I have been driving it for the past 1 week and can't stop ever since. However, very unfortunate that I have a problem with the iDrive and now has gone back to PML for checking. I can't really wait to have it back again as soon as possible cos' the replacement car i.e. X1 is really killing me :(

Anyway, other than the small hiccup with my new ride, I also find it wonderfully happy for able to relate to this group (beside being a faithful reader to your FB posts all these while) and really looking forward to contribute / learn / enjoy all the beautiful things about BMW.

And lastly, thank you for the pleasant welcoming email, as well as the clear instruction about using the "Introduction Greeting". These have greatly help to settle down my nerve to the new forum and kudus to the person-in-charge for preparing it.

Cheers

Re: New member and New BMW owner

Guys,

Thought of re-introducing myself again (since I think I am still new) and most importantly my recently upgraded beemer from 118i to 320i (sharing a picture of my ride).

View attachment 48527

Anyway I have been driving it for a one month now and feeling is still great, even though it was a little bit "bigger" compare with the previous one. However I tend to notice a lack in bhp after I upgraded the wheel to 20" (I know this is part of the sacrifice but it was necessity due to the colour of my car which is black).

So I like to know from the expert here whether there is any "cost" effective way to boost the bhp up again?
Meanwhile, I have also heard from my friend that by installing a "race chip", the bhp can increase upto 220!!! Sound interesting.

So any thoughts / advices on this? And does anyone know the cost of it? And where to get it?

Hope to hear from anyone on this.
Many thanks in advance.

Cheers
