Hi,

Just gotten my X1 couple weeks ago. One silly question, I tried to fold out the wipers following the instructions but don’t seem to get the wipers in the right vertical position for folding. Any advise?

Tip: when you move the lever up, make sure it is all the way through.

That good wet clutch on a DCT seem better
Is much better for our type of traffic conditions
Getrag is the manufacturer for VW DSG ?

Not sure about VW but lots of write-up of Getrag 7DCT300 if you google. From firsthand experience, aside from some slight hesitation at very low speeds like in car park, its exactly like an auto and the gear changes is creamily smooth like a perfect manual up-shift

Any bros here can give an update on the DCT on x1? Considering to switch to x1...

Have been driving X1 DCT for last 9 months. Great up shifts, super creamy and drives like an auto! No issues with start stop traffic but not sure of long term wear

Only some slight hesitation at very low speeds like in car park once in a while and lack of auto hold on ramps is quite sad for X1 but you can always use the e-park brake to hold and release when you get up to point of moving off - if you have driven a manual car it’s not a problem as the e-brake works exactly like a handbrake upon release.
