AC or SA ... its all good. At least with AC you can save some $ on the purchase and use that for your mod fund later. Dec delivery will make it a nice christmas present.

OK stripper/no frills spec ...... it's incredible that for half a million bucks they don't give you Xenons.

PASM for 987 is option. Perhaps you got PSM. PASM not available for 986.

PSM - Porsche Stability Management
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management (electronic damper control, like Damptronic and Ridecontrol)

The bidding result for SJA first round was out last friday.

Still got a lot to learn from you guys about taking good pics. The pics i shot with my IXUS 7mega pixel did not turn out quite as nice as the ones you took of your car in the other thread.
Oh I see. As for the photos, I believed with a few more practice plus try-out and errors, everyone its potentially a photographer. :)

Re: New porker

one more silly question from me, is this model of Porsche called poker? or you name your ride a 'Poker'. just curious. :)
and if you don't mind, I would like to join in the taxi ride queue if I make it to meet up this weekend. :)

Porker is probably an affectionate term for Porsche in general, but not to be applied to the Cayenne, and possibly more often to the 911 series than the Boxster and Cayman.

As it is one of the lightest steel cars around, it is probably ironic in nature, and used in a politically correct self depreciatory sense - it would be more vulgar in mixed guest parties to say `I bought a Porsche' rather than `I bought a Porker'. Laugh to yourself once a smart fat ass says `Oh yeah, cars are getting heavier and heavier nowadays, especially those Porkers' exposing himself for the fat fool that he is .... and for added entertainment u should quip - "yeah, but not as bad as those Lotus Elises! Born fat and now fatter even. But on the brighter side, the new BMWs are at 2.5 tons, much lighter than the 3 tons they were at before." (no this guy not American, and the English already think in KG, and he KNOW we are not american with our prominent singapore accent)

The fat fool would say, "I thought they were closer to 3.5 tons!"

Then you should say, "Yeah, you're probably closer with that".

Nah... this is not my imagination, actually happened, I was just a bystander though. But angmoh parties are like that lah, most of the time is talking cock and the art is how to impress people and make people envious without sounding ya-ya... but the performance envelope varies from individual to individual ... no I am not angmoh ...

Additionally, the paintwork of a 917 was that of a pig for the slaughter, marking out nice regions of the pig to cut. This might have been an additional reason why the Porker moniker held on. Behold:

don't get me wrong, I do enjoy reading lengthy post. as long as it make sense.:)

Re: New porker

Acupunch,

Yeap as what Cays said, porker is an affectionate term for a 911. However in my view the 911 looks more like a toad than a pig. The boxster looks like a frog (slimmer than a 911) and the cayman looks like .... a cayman (small south american croc). Hahahah. Check out the green GT3RS below and tell me it doesn't look like a big fat toady

agreed that the 911 look like a toad. I've grown to like the toad shape though.

Except the 996. Never liked the 996. Try to like also cannot. The fried egg headlamps I guess.

Re: New porker

oh I see, I begin to understand a bit. During my biking days, I come to know that Harley owner called their bikes HOGs, later I found out that it was named after a piglet pet owned by a racer that keep wining races. Slowing become an expectable terms for all Harley riders.

BTW,did you forgot the attached the Green GT3RS?
