Re: new porsche boxster s or used audi r8 spyder or used maser gt
Maserati has great engine sound and is a big car with long wheel base so cannot expect agility of smaller sports cars.
Cockster has a flat 6 engine. Doesn't feel very special and need to pay a fair bit for the options.
R8 has super car looks and a great v10 that has a great v10 engine. Gearshift is what I dislike about the car. On moderate to heavy right foot, got head nodding, single clutch gearbox.
Re: new porsche boxster s or used audi r8 spyder or used maser gt
guys the r8 4.2 fsi cab v8 is used going around 400 plus.
its not the v10
the boxster s new after options and coe will be close to 400.
i am currently drving a maser so means i must ditch it and down grade to r8 or bosxter was thinking should hold on to my maser with the current crazy coe.
Well, its ok, only minority of car lovers will appreciate and understand the joy of knowing it's building process.
The R8 is the slowest car Audi ever build, which is 'hand-intensive' build process before it comes out of the factory line.

....My choice goes to the used R8 Spyder because it's a very good car plus you don't hv to fork out to pay for 95k COE.
Re: new porsche boxster s or used audi r8 spyder or used maser gt
too mani type of porsche models on the road, cant differentiate for the untrained eye........R8 is the real head turner btw the 2 imo....and im a sucker for looks......big time....
Re: new porsche boxster s or used audi r8 spyder or used maser gt
The R8 has a more super car look and has better road presence. But I dont find it a practical everyday car and I dont like its gearbox.
So if I have to choose, I will pick the new Boxster S for its badge plus the fact that it has PDK and a widebody look. The new Boxster S is a real looker. Tough choice but my vote goes to the new Boxster S.
