Hi All.

New here. I drive a black 2011 feb 320i black. Not sure where I can post below. Any advice?

Although I have been reading post about headlights, I will really need some advice.

My angel eye has been change to white. LED type. Do not appear to be balance in color for inner and outer ring. I have not change the main beam. Still original. I happen to see a 320i on the road. main beam and angel eye are clearly visible in the day and all colour are of same intensity. I will really like to know where I can get them.

Appreciate any good advice. Thank you.

Welcome to e community. Below is from my limited knowledge.

1) Angel Eye regardless of OEM or White LED, whether both inner and outer rings are balanced or not balance is very subjective to the vehicle's model. U will notice this in Angel Eyes with OEM blubs.

2) OEM, 4300k lumen with yellowesh tint. Very visible in daylight and low light environment. Not so bright in low light environment too.

3) White 6000k lumen visible in daylight with no bluesh tint. Not so bright nor nice in low light environment. Bright in dark environment.

4) White 8000k lumen still visible in daylight and with slight bluesh tint. Bright (not blinding) and nice in low light environment. Very bright in dark environment.

5) Comparison between these blubs - contrasting difference (brigthness & nice) between 4300k and 6000k or 8000k white, cannot noticed e bluesh tint. Comparing between 6000k and 8000k white, then u can notice e bluesh tint.

6) Where to get - can try Bimstop if u looking for 8k Angel Eye blubs or 6k/8k Main Light blubs.

Why Yellowish light appear brighter (over white) during the Day and not as bright during the night? - Look at a Yellow car and white car, which is 'clearer'. Look at it again in the night, which is 'clearer'... and there is your answer.

Cheers

Re: newbie. Introduction and needing help

Actually, wkck, is your concern:

1) AE rings are different in intensity between outer and inner rings;
or
2) Main headlight bulb colour is different from AE?

For 1), most likely different.
For 2), Confirm different since you change AE LED to white. Main headlight still yellow which is stock. Look for Bimshop or his distributor (J4C or 2277). They have whiter 6000k or 8000k main headlight bulb.

Re: newbie. Introduction and needing help

Bro C3PO,

1) no way inner and outer will be almost same?
2) I will change out the main beam light bulb too.

Sorry for being noob, but is feb 2011 BMW 320i sedan a E90?

Hi and welcome to the forum! Yes try Bimshop!

anyway keep us updated when you resolve the problem. Curious to find out more cos I changed my orange rings to white recently but its those "chiong OEM" type, so it looks damn weak versus to the original ones.
