no fuel filter

hi...
i recently bought a E70 X5 3.0si 2008 model. it started cutting off and now wont start at all. from the diagnostics it refers to the fuel filter. only problem after watching numerous videos of where the fuel filter could be, nut to no avail we have not been able to locate it?!?! no where under after removing all the covers as all video suggest. is it possible that this car could of come from the factory with out a fuel filter as there is no housing or even a sign of a possible place it could of been in....

recently bought a singapore manufactured E70 X5. loving the car but as we all know these are mechanically things that can go wrong....lol

is there any mechanical person that has good knowledge of the above issue i am facing?

I can confirm Singapore does not manufacture BMWs.

Jokes aside, there is bound to be a fuel filter in the car. Maybe below the car’s seat.

And I believe u meant filter and not oil filter ya

yes fuel filter...i watched some youtube videos and they all point out the fuel filter under the car somewhere in the middle left side. i also find it strange not to have a filter but for sure there is nothing. funny thing where the filter is according to the manufacture diagrams and the videos there has been no alterations or brackets ie. like as if there was a filter there before.!?! we dropped the tank but yet still nothing inside. under the back 2 seats i also found nothing?!? why i thought the x5 was manufactured in Singapore as the Vin no. sticker says BMW Singapore, anyway i guess that doesn't really help lol
