Noises from steering rack/front suspension

Any other F30 335i owners have a similar problem described here?

Finally Fixed!!... Clunk in Steering/Suspension incl Diagnostics - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32) | F30POST

I have something similar on mine but the SA at PML East Coast says it's normal because of the nature of the steering rack and the EPS system. I find that really hard to swallow.

The icing on the cake? I mentioned that I had read of similar issues on-line. His response: "You cannot believe everything you read on-line. Sometimes people post problems to spoil BMW reputation..."

I have this issue bro, PML gonna call in my car to change some parts of the steering rack, some eps or something like that, not sure what's that to start with. For mine the clank comes when I hit small protrusions on road like cat eye markers or some speeding strips . Yrs similar?

PML response getting creative ..... Previously was always "it's normal".

I also started to have the noises coming from the steering last week, especially during full right turn.

Yes. Similar. General uneven-ness on the road can hear. Also when the front wheels hit the road level on the down side of a hump (if you know what I mean).

Do let me know about the outcome of your repairs.

An SA I spoke to at MA (after the PML visit) said he is aware of the problem and they have contacted "HQ" for instructions on how to deal with it. I even provided him a pic of the diagnosis from the F30post website. Lets see...

Still waiting for an answer...

To be fair to MA, my experience with them has been WAY better than PML (EC). Can's say for the other 2 service centres... Never been there.

Looks like the SA is looking for a TSB from BMW Asia.

Yeah. He did mention something like that. Given that there are already issues like this in on BMW NA side, you would think there would be some sort of service campaign or TSB.

Had similar issues with my F30 335i. They are aware. I went to Kampung Arang and an EPS replacement wasn't required. They tightened some bolt that had too much free play and there has been absolutely no noise since.

PML alexander wants my car for a week so looks like they gonna change a couple of parts for me, maybe I should go kampung arang instead since its a known fix, funny they don't share info across the centers : (

I was Kampung Arang... And that was where they told me the sounds were normal...

Not only across centres. But between SA's as well... 340driver got his fixed at Kampung Arang and that was where they said the noise was normal...

Sigh...

Give up on PML (2 fail attempt to even get them testing the car), going to try MA... hope their service has improve since I last visit them - must say their response time is miles ahead of PML....
