Folks, i'm looking for a leather product that doesnt leave the seats looking shiny, anything good to recommend? I'm beginning to see the driver side seats getting shiny and more crumpled :(

Have you tried PML leather cleaner? I've used it and it seems good rather than 3rd party leather cleaner.

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

use the BMW leather cleaning foam followed by the UV leather conditioner. its non oil base and leaves leather supple and matt. no shine.

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

Thanks for the recommendation bros. Its funny but I've never step foot into PML :p Will drop by soon....

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

I use meguaires or 3M leather cleaner / protector.

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

Hi Guys, beside autobacs, where would be an alternative place to go?

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

Bro, I use Meguiar's GoldClass Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. It is non-greasy and the after clean smell is pleasant. ;)

Hi bros,

Do these products look matte or shiny after using?

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

I'm using the PML leather conditioner.Quite ok but pretty expensive at $50 per bottle.

I'm wondering if there is any other leather conditioner that will bring give off the new car leather smell. That would be worth paying for.

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

It is Matt effect after using the Merguair leather cleaner/conditioner. Cheers

I'm also checking out if there is any leather cleaning/conditioning products which can bring back the new car leather smell...Can PML's Leather cleaning foam or Leather care set with UV do the job?

cheers!

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

Hi dtcars,

The PML leather conditioner is approx $50 so this is quite expensive. I thought I'd give it a try. The smell it gives off is quite ok. Not fantastic but I'm quite picky.

I think someone recommended McGuires. That's a lot cheaper and I think that will be my next change.

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

Thanks! I have bought the interior cleaning package from PML at $90 (promotion). Will try it out later and share the result! It includes 1 leather cleaner, 1 leather lotion, 1 plastic cleaner, 1 overall interior cleaner (not sure how it differ from the plastic cleaner though)

Cheers!

I think the interior cleaner is for the dashboard and door side panels etc. For me, I just use the leather conditioner for everything.

When I was buying the guy asked what colour were my leather seats. Mine are dark grey so he said no need to get the leather cleaner. For lighter colours, then you should use the cleaner first then the conditioner. I just use a damp cloth to wipe the seats first before applying the conditioner.

I guess using the cleaner and the conditioner would bring out a nicer smell.

Re: Non shiny leather cleaner/cream/protector?

Tried McGuires leather conditioner. Smell ok. Matt feel. Good $$. The oni complaint i hav is it give a 'siap-siap' feel, mayb its not cream base..

For me once in a while....I'll use Meguiar's GoldClass Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner, around once every 3weeks..

Everyday wise i am using Meguiar's interior detailer "Bottle spray type". Best to go with Microfiber cloth. This is to keep/maintain all panels n seats clean and feeling fresh for both myself and my baby.
