Grab a spanner in your hand, keep nicely your valuable item, whack anyone come near you before they rob you.

Most important is all passenger must alight from car and stay in place away from roadside. Some kuku driver from behind like to use 3rd lane to overtake.

Get AA membership. Then use AA Malaysia. Then tow to AA RAS WS.

I discovered few choices.. its really your own call:

1) Call BMW Malaysia and arrange for tow to nearest Service Centre
2) Call your insurance company if you have repatriation in your policy. (Mine up to $3500, but was too far away.. so chose the other solution)
3) The Mlsia Highway Petrol will appear.. (guarantee very fast, out of nowhere), the call the tow service that they have.
4) If mobile repair van appear, you can discuss with him or totally reject him if you choose the above options.
5) Call relative or friends in malaysia... seek advice, wait.. and also waiting for other possible 'happenings'
6) if still can drive, drive slowly to nearest rest point along the highway... stopping by the shoulder is super dangerous... i guarantee you that...
7) Call your singapore workshop and make arrangement.. cos your workshop might have mlsia connection.

I will call AAM or BMW Malaysia plus importantly, I will put up a sign - car broke down, got robbed and waiting for AAM tow truck to tow ride and send me home.

anyway, when i rent a car in usa, i take up all their add on simi simi insurance including 24x7 road site assistance and $1M liability for accident

i would rather let that earn more about usd$150+ than sorry later

Not into Oz but for the US - Drop the Singlish and make them think you are a Korean gangsta by looking like a bad ass mofo. Does not work in black ghettos or Hispanic controlled territories - they would just pull the trigger on you. Try not to carry a map and don't ask for directions. Super dangerous to have ur car break down on NSHW...better get your car check before travel...if too old, just sell it get new one! 07 for me is very old car....any car more than 3 years are old and already reach it's life span...

the furthest you can go is the 1/2 way point of the bridge where you see 90 (spore) turn to 110 (msia)
you should turn back immediately

That's very Sg Mentality. For cooling system, it should be replaced every 50k km based on my previous experience. Previously, more than 5 yr old E39 still running strong on NSH. NO BREAKDOWN.

i always feel safer when my malay friends bring me around, but they always tell me doesn't mean any safer... juz the comms part easier... when the sharks come, they bite everything...
